Germany
Mayor Matthias Berger and a delegation of 24 business and
political leaders first visited Alberta's International Region in
April 2005 to sign a joint declaration of cooperation between the
City of Leduc, Leduc County and the City of Grimma. Mayor Berger
and the delegates returned to renew the partnership again in June
2010.
Beihai, China
The Leduc-Nisku Economic Development Authority hosted a welcome
reception for a delegation of political and government officials
from Beihai, China on Nov. 4th, 2005. The highlight of the
reception was a signature ceremony, where a joint declaration of
cooperation between Alberta's International Region and Beihai was
signed.
